This year has been one of the strangest of my adult life so far. With the Coronavirus pandemic shutting the entire world down, riots, and politics, I have never wanted to run and hide from everyone and everything so much. But there are some good things that have come out of all this as well. So I am trying to focus on the positive and keep my little world on its feet.
Where am I? What am I doing?
When 2020 began I was balancing a pretty crazy schedule. I had taken a job as an RV delivery driver. Meaning, I would fly to Indiana, where most RVs in the world are made, and then drive a motor coach somewhere in the US (or Canada) to a dealership where it would eventually be sold to a happy customer. I started Vlogging again on the Vagabounders YouTube Channel, but have struggled to keep up with everything so it is a bit behind. However, there are a couple of great videos about what an adventure it has been and I will try to update with a few more when I can. Here is a sample of what this job has been like:
In addition to RV delivery, I was also working part time in the RV resort where I have been stationary living for more than a year in Mesa, Arizona. My current plan has me staying put in my RV in this location for the next two years. Of course, if you want to make God laugh…make a plan! And just because I have been staying still, doesn’t mean I haven’t moved. In early March 2020, just before the pandemic really changed everyday life for me, I purchased a 5th wheel! And Vanya was sold and moved to her new forever home. Transferring all my stuff from one RV to another between RV delivery trips and days scheduled at the Cactus Grille here at my RV resort was a serious challenge. I did get it all done in just enough time to spend my stay at home orders in my new-to-me, much more comfortable, home.

At this point, I still don’t own a truck (or car) and so staying put really is my only option for a while. More about the RV resort I live at, for the time being, later! For now, I am content to be still and see what happens in the coming months with the virus and my work situations.
Of course, I have continued to work on my narration projects and finished one in May 2020. When you have a chance check it out on Audible.com: Miriam’s Rebirth. This book is the 5th in a series that I was privileged to narrate 4 out of the 5. Ordering it via the above link will give me extra money so please click and give it a listen! I have a new project in the works that I hope will be finished in late June/early July. I am also starting to work on my own novel which I hope to start sharing soon!
Staying home is hard even in a paradise like where I live. In January of 2020, my good friend, Rita Pociask, set a fitness goal and invited others to join her on the journey. Check out her Facebook page dedicated to the goal of moving 2,020 miles in 2020. I half heartedly began the journey with her in support of her. When the pandemic forced me to stay home, I had to figure out what to do with all those hours. Going after this goal became a huge focus. Little did I know how much change that one decision would bring to my life! More about this in depth in future posts I promise. For now, let’s just leave it at this choice has forever changed me in the best possible way.
Mom has transitioned into staying with me full time again and we are both enjoying the Arizona heat this summer. For now, I am staying home with her and not traveling much beyond my little neighborhood. I live in my bubble of a world for now, but it is still never boring!
